Naamkarana Samskaara or the Naming Ceremony is one of the sixteen samskaras of the Hindu Dharma in which a newborn baby is named and given an identity. Hindu Dharma has advised ‘samskaara’ to be performed during the sixteen principal events of life, so that an individual can move closer to God. Here, at the Shivoham Shiva Temple, Naamkarana Samskaara is performed according to the rituals mentioned in the Hindu Dharma scriptures.
